Lancers to Perform at Rose Parade Bandfest

The Lancer Marching Band and Colorguard will participate in the Rose Parade Bandfest on December 30th at the Pasadena City College’s (PCC’s) Robinson Stadium.    The Bandfest will feature performances from each of the bands participating in the 2011 Rose Parade.  This is the only time that the Lancers will be performing their field show as part of the Rose Parade festivities.

The 305 member Lancers will perform their 2010 halftime show titled “Something Classical, Something Jazz, and Something Hollywood” including renditions of New World Variations (Shaffer), Caravan (Ellington), and selections from Pirates of the Caribbean, At World’s End (Zimmer.)

PCC’s Robinson stadium has grandstand seating for 5,400, making it the most intimate venue of the four public performances that Lancers will give during their California trip. The grandstand seating will provide spectators with a great opportunity to watch the Lancers up close as they fill the field with their energetic and vibrant performance.

The Lancers will take the field on Wednesday afternoon at approximately 2:40 pm PST (5:40 pm EST).  The Rose Parade Bandfest is available as a webcast for a fee.  For information about the Bandfest and webcast please visit:
