Thursday was a very busy day for our Marching Lancer Band and Color Guard. Following a morning practice at a local high school field, it was off to the iconic Rose Bowl stadium for a photo-op. After lunch, the group travelled to Pasadena City College where they performed the 2010 field show in the Tournament of Roses Bandfest.
The day ended with a pre-game on ice performance at the Los Angeles Kings game at the Staples Center. The Lancers are the first high school band to ever perform at a King’s game. According to reports, the Kings staff were very impressed with the group’s performance and professionalism. Friday’s itinerary includes a trip to Disney’s California Adventure and an early curfew to rest up for Saturday’s Rose Parade.
Stay tuned for more updates, including video and pictures from Thursday’s events.
