Indoor Winter Percussion is a truly unique activity that combines many of the best elements of a jazz band, symphonic ensemble, marching band, theater production, staged musical and sports team. These multiple influences combine to create a completely unique performing arts experience.

Open to all students at LHS, Winter Percussion is a dynamic, high-energy extracurricular activity that includes practices and competition/performances throughout the season. Students do not need experience playing a percussion instrument in order to participate. Besides honing their abilities to play and perform, the participants gain skills such as striving for excellence, developing teamwork, learning sportsmanship as well as interaction with peers from other communities.

Winter Percussion competes within the New England Scholastic Band Association (NESBA) and WGI networks. The group performs in the Percussion Scholastic AA level.
